JOB 1: BASKETBALL COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
Salary: £18,000-£21,000 (plus commission and pension options)
Location: London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and surrounding area
Start Date: September 2022 (potential to start earlier within our summer camp programme)
OVERALL ROLE: Knights Basketball requires enthusiastic and innovative individuals to progress our rapidly expanding basketball development programme:
- Develop and deliver our community basketball programme across a variety of venues, age ranges and abilities.
- Maintain relationships with our key partners across the community.
- Coordinate and support coaches, leaders, and volunteers to meet the needs of our club.
- Marketing and promotion of club activities.
- Administration of booking system, registers and reporting key data.
- Opportunities to coach your own team within local and/or national leagues.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: Working as part of a team of community coordinators, the candidate must:
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about developing basketball opportunities and experiences.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders within our community through a range of formats and channels.
- Be pro-active and self-motivated to work to a high standard using own initiative, to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Have an understanding of the community sport landscape.
- Level 2 basketball coach and first aid qualifications
- Hold a UK passport/work visa
PREFERRED SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Driving licence and own vehicle.

JOB 2: BASKETBALL COMMUNITY COACH
Contract Type: Part-time 10-25hrs/wk
Rate: £14-18/hr
Location: London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and surrounding area

OVERALL ROLE: Knights Basketball requires enthusiastic and innovative individuals to progress our rapidly expanding basketball development programme, including:
- Planning and delivering a comprehensive basketball training programme across a range of age-groups and ability levels.
- Coaching within school sessions, club sessions, holiday camps and tournaments
- Opportunities to coach teams in local and national league competitions/tournaments as well as College and University Teams.
- Supporting our leadership programme for junior members.
- Communicating the activities of the club across a variety of formats, including social media.
- Acting as a role model and mentor to the young people in the club.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Trained to a minimum of Level 2 Coach standard, with experience of coaching a range of abilities from primary school beginners to team/club players.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about helping individuals reach their potential.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a range of people through a variety of formats.
- Pro-active and self-motivated to work to a high standard using your own initiative and to manage your own workload effectively.
- First Aid qualified, a safeguarding & protecting children certificate
- Hold a UK passport/work visa
